Funny Friday - Slam Dunk!

Today’s post is another episode of a monthly feature. It’s called Funny Friday and is a collaborative project that I’ll post on the last Friday of every month. Yes, we know it’s August, but July ran out of Fridays. Totally not our fault.

Each month one of the participants submits a picture, then we all write 5 captions or thoughts inspired by that month’s picture. Links to the other bloggers’ posts are below, click on them and see what they’ve come up with. I hope we bring a smile to your face as you start your weekend.

Here’s today picture. It was submitted by Someone Else’s Genius

Basketball, huh? My specialty... so much that I had to ask a friend who knows stuff, if by any chance this Jazz dude was someone one should know?

After clearing that up, (thanks again, E, aka Coach Daddy!) let me introduce the team!

1. Enes Kanter, all of his 6'11''! Rookie player for Utah Jazz.
Turkish roots, but born in Switzerland, no less!
If those player guys weren't so young, we could've attended school together!
He's got jersey #0. I wonder why. Does he like Coke Zero, just like me?

2. Boy wearing a red sweater. He came here assuming he would get to ride the
bumper cars. He had his hopes up for ice cream, too. Not sure if he likes it here.

3. Guy with his arrmes crossed. Wondering just how many times he's got to eat his veggies
in order to become tall enough to be, well, a basketball player! As you're reading this
it downs on him that actually döner kebab might do the trick.

4. Young man with his hands behind his back. Thinks he's a made man.
After all he is the proud owner of a Jazz jersey. What are you saying, "practise?"
He doesn't think so. Enes told him to watch and learn.

5. Robin. (Not in this picture, otherwise totally in the picture)
Photographer and Mommy of Bigfoot, Little Miss Sassy Pants and Little Sasquatch
(I didn't catch the name of the 3rd player on the basketball court) during the day.
Indiana Jones' secret lover at night.

      PS:

Today, on August 1st, we are celebrating the Swiss National Holiday. 723 years of independence. Or for the regular folks like us: a day off to enjoy baking, BBQ, Family, Friends & Fireworks.

So I may be out tonight and not reading your posts until tomorrow!
